Launch of online platform #SaveLivesProtectPeople

The Pompidou Group’s new response platform ’Save Lives – Protect People’ collects and presents innovative ideas and practical interventions that aim to contain the spread of COVID-19 and prevent harm to people who use drugs and those in contact with them.

Help the Pompidou Group and his partner organisations, Correlation – European Harm Reduction Network and European Federation of Therapeutic Communities Correlation (EFTC), to quickly spread potentially life-saving responses and ideas and discuss them in our LinkedIn and FB groups on ‘COVID-19 and PWUD’.

WHAT is it for?

The platform’s purpose is to help deciding on actions to provide harm and risk reduction measures and deliver drug treatment and rehabilitation services under the current restrictions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic and with available resources.

WHO can contribute?

Governmental bodies, service providers, experts, civil society organisations, as well as individuals providing lived experience can contribute to the platform. It is intended for those involved in protecting the health of people with addiction problems and persons who are part of this risk group.

WHY can it be useful for you?

The COVID-19 pandemic is a major challenge for every State and service and affects every citizen. In such unprecedented situation sharing experiences, ideas and inspiration is more important than ever in order to protect the health of people, save lives and guarantee human rights.

HOW can you take action?

Frontline workers can publish practical experiences on dealing with the COVID-19 crisis in one of the platform’s six languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Russian. They can also look for inspiration from other’s experience and discuss these in the dedicated LinkedIN and Facebook groups.
